February 2005

 A Note from your President…

Hello and Happy New Year to all members of the association.

I would like to say thank you to Schoolcraft College for hosting a great fall meeting. What a great venue for the trade show.  I hope that everyone took advantage of meeting new vendors and checking out new products. Thanks to the vendors for their participation.

Big thank you also needs to be extended to Cindy Willing for planning our meeting. Cindy organized the educational sessions, the  menus and handled every detail for our meeting.  She did a great job.

The Association is planning to host a gathering in New Orleans.   Members of the Board are working on the details.  Please check our web site before  leaving for Camex.

The Board held our fall leadership meeting in November.  Changes have been suggested in policies and procedures.  We will be bringing these changes to the Spring Meeting for approval.

Hillsdale College will host the Spring Meeting June 5, 6 and 7.  You won’t want to miss this meeting.  It will be fun and educational.  I would like to encourage all members to attend our meetings.   The meetings are a great place to learn new things about the industry and meet new people.

Have a great 2005

Adrienne Loftin

Member News

To all MACS Members,

Thank you for the wonderful MACS meeting in Livonia last fall.  It was great seeing everyone.

I wish to extend a special Thank You to all members for the support given me throughout the years.  You are the best and your support and friendship mean so much to me.  I also wish to express my appreciation for continuing the Ward Aurich Scholarship Fund.  Ward would appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness and feel honored as I do.

Retirement is great.  I’m volunteering at the hospital and enjoying the wood-carving group I meet each week.  Life is good in the U.P. and I welcome visitors whenever anyone is in the area.

Best wishes for wonderful 2005.

Warmest regards,

Phyl Aurich

Ward Aurich scholarships .. awarded to Sheila Thompson from Cleary College and Brad Miller from Henry Ford Community College.
